International House
The International House is a nonprofit organization devoted to helping foreigners assimilate into our culture.  Not only do they offer help for foreigners but they also offer foreign-language conversation hours, cultural events, an international book club, citizen diplomacy programs, an international women’s group, language classes, free citizenship workshops, legal services for low-income immigrants, and much more.  Americans are invited to attend conversation hours and book clubs to practice their target language.  This is an excellent way for your student to become involved in the international community, and practice their language skills with native speakers.
